A UK resource for owners, supporters and builders of serious electric vehicles
It's time. Time that UK perceptions of electric vehicles were changed. Time to show that electric can be fun and fast as well as green and clean. It is happening; the big manufacturers are starting trials, more and more enterprising individuals are converting cars to all-electric.
Inspired by companies like Tesla, increasing availability of components, better battery chemistries the ingredients are arriving. It needs the drive and enthusiasm of visionary individuals and organisations to get on the road and be seen on the road.
It's not easy. Information is plentiful but disparate and mostly from the US. Anyone wishing to buy, build or convert a vehicle needs commitment, time, patience and money. And the information, suppliers and support to ensure success.
The purpose of the EPCC is to provide a focus and a resource primarily for UK owners and constructors, both individual and professional. It is intended as a place to share experiences between like-minded individuals, identify suppliers of components or complete vehicles and provide a professional perception for Epower cars that can match the best of the high-spending traditional car manufacturers.
Extensive contacts throughout the world and access to professional data and information. EPCC also has a unique relationship with a leading British University focused on alternative motive power and heavily involved in manufacturers e-trials, which gives us a view of progress in the professional world.
If you have a project, have found good suppliers, are a supplier or are offering help, please let me know. The shop will aim to bring together increasing numbers of appropriate components in one place at lower prices. The forum will aim to allow people to share experiences and knowledge over time.
EPCC is planning the conversion and support for a number of suitable British sports cars to encourage more people to get on the road at a realistic cost.
