Classically beautiful cars converted to zero-emission all-electric drive

It's time. Time that UK perceptions of electric vehicles were changed. Time to show that electric can be fun and fast as well as green and clean. It is happening; the big manufacturers are starting trials, more and more enterprising individuals are converting desirable cars to all-electric.

EPOWERCC has converted a standard British MG sports car to 100% electric drive and is using it to experience everyday driving on Britain's roads as well as identify EV technical and customer requirements as well as trial new products from UK manufacturers.

NEW for 2012: Electric-drive conversion services and kits for MGTF and MGF Sports cars

With the success of the original MGF-Electric and its proven reliability and very low energy useage, we're working on the development of a conversion kit for the newer MGTF as well as the MGF. This would convert your chosen car into an all-electric drive sports car with a range of over 100-miles between charges. The MGF/TF is superbly suited to this as we have proven across two RAC Challenges, effectively beating most of the major manufacturers in terms of least energy useage on a measured course from Brighton to London.

Fun, fast, silent and a superb drive, especially with the roof down, even traffic jams are fun as you use no fuel and have no noise! Very easy to drive, just two pedals like an automatic with no gear changing. FREE road tax, FREE London congestion charge, FREE parking and charging in many places, equivalent insurance and a unique, very valuable and exciting MG that you run for under 2p per mile.

You would give us your chosen MG, we then clean, check and renovate all aspects of the car as necessary to take it to an as-new base standard. Then the petrol engine is replaced with an all-electric drive system, along with appropriate wiring looms, cables, management, battery pack and controls.

In November 2010 we successfully took part in the first ever RAC Brighton to London Future Vehicles event, with the help of EDF Energy.

In November 2011 we again took part, coming 6th overall in terms of lowest energy used, out of 65 cars. We were ahead of virtually every major manufacturer.
